Windows 8 has a lot of people buzzing. The new operating system from Microsoft, with its tile structure, is designed to be compatible with app style computing, such as you might find on a smart phone or tablet. It’s the latest in a long line of adjustments that Microsoft has traditionally made based on Apple innovations. Whether the new OS will be right for you is up for debate, but what everyone wants to know is, will there be a Windows 8 Blue Screen of Death?
The Windows 8 Blue Screen of Death
The answer seems to be yes, but Microsoft hopes you won’t see it too often. Although there is speculation in the computer world that the BSoD may eventually be phased out, this doesn’t seem to be the time for it. Remember, the Blue Screen of Death serves a purpose. It’s not what causes your computer to crash, it’s what tells you that your computer has crashed and why. In a perfect world, Windows 8 will never fail you and will auto correct any problems your computer might have, but sadly, we do not live in a perfect world yet. Until we do, or until Microsoft thinks of a better way to let you know your computer needs some attention, expect the Blue Screen of Death to stick around.
